Hi, this is Eric. I opened Fullfill because there weren't any refill shops in South Seattle! After years of commuting all over the city to refill daily cooking and cleaning supplies, I decided to stop waiting for someone else to offer this service in the Rainier Valley.

Refilling is a valuable service because it allows us to buy a product without also buying its single-use packaging. Why invest in something that we're going to use once and then throw away? We even have to pay again for disposal! Reusing containers and refilling avoids these costs. Fullfill and its manufacturing partners also reuse containers to minimize single-use packaging as products move from the factory to your home.

Another valuable aspect of refilling is its local impact. A refill business favors local production because empty containers need to be returned to manufacturers. Local production sustains many benefits, including job creation and skills development in making products. These products are special because they use natural resources that can only be found here. And when we buy these products, we keep capital circulating within our communities, which creates more opportunities for all of us.
